Visiting a u-pick pumpkin patch is a great way to spend time with friends and family during Fall!
The season of u-pick pumpkins normally starts around mid/late September and lasts until late October. Wagon rides run every weekend and also on Columbus Day! Our pick your own pumpkin/wagon ride hours are 10AM-4PM, every weekend.
Planning a visit but not sure if our pumpkin fields are open? If in doubt it’s always best to check here, our Facebook page, or give us a call in the store to get the latest news on availability and conditions.
Please respect the Rulfs property, our employees, and the rules for u-pick - we want everyone to enjoy their u-pick experience with us!
NOTE: To protect the integrity of the food we grow, please leave your dogs at home when planning to u-pick at Rulfs.
For wagon rides, please DRIVE down to the berry fields and park your vehicle (follow the pumpkin signs) and then check in at the RED TRAILER. You will pay first and then load onto the wagons.
Once you arrive at the field, choose your pumpkin and the tractor driver will collect your tickets before you get back on the wagon. (One ticket = one pumpkin) Enjoy the scenic views on your ride back to the parking lot!
Alternatively, we always have pre-picked pumpkins available to you on the lawn to the left of the store, or in the new greenhouse. If you want to buy a pumpkin during the week (or don't want to take the wagon to the patch on weekends) you are welcome to choose your pumpkin here.
The greenhouse will be staffed from 9AM-4PM on the weekends. Pumpkins will be $0.50/lb but pay no more than $10.00. During the week, pumpkins must be purchased at the bakery counter.
All pumpkins are $10.00 each!
Store in a cool, dry area (50 to 55F).
Fall is one of our favorite seasons here, and we have lots to do at Rulfs during pumpkin picking time!
Apple picking generally lasts until the first weekend in October, so why not visit us early and grab some delicious apples from our orchard or in-store. Additionally, we have our Petting Zoo, Play Area and Corn Maze! Don’t forget to grab some cider and doughnuts while you’re here, too!
